Courvoisier® Cognac Celebrates
with Alonzo Mourning and Ben Gordon
At the NBA All-Star Weekend in Houston, TX

Courvoisier® cognac celebrated in style with Alonzo Mourning and Ben Gordon at the annual NBA All-Star Weekend in Houston, Texas – February 16 – 18, 2006. A special reception marking the opening festivities of All-Star Weekend was held on February 17 at the House of Courvoisier. NBA all-star greats joined Chris Mahoney, senior brand director, Courvoisier and Julia Dell, sales manager, on-premise, Future Brands, LLC as well as spirits industry notables Steve Stanley, general sales manager, Glazer's and Denny Thomlinson, district sales manager for Spec's Chain Division.

Reception attendees were some of Houston’s lucky few to sample L’Esprit de Courvoisier, the world’s most exclusive cognac with rare vintages dating back to the nineteenth century and the royal court of Napoleon. Mourning and Gordon were also special recipients of complimentary bottles of L’Esprit, which retails at $5,000.

Courvoisier was honored to celebrate the NBA All-Star Weekend with Alonzo and Ben – two great athletes who not only excel at the game of basketball but also set the standard for style and good taste,” said Chris Mahoney, senior brand director, Courvoisier. “The House of Courvoisier was launched as a one-of-a-kind oasis of luxury and style, and the NBA All-Star Weekend was the perfect venue for us to host our signature events.”

Rap’s clown prince, DJ Biz Markie, was the musical director for the weekend-long celebrations held at the “House of Courvoisier” which was located at 112 Travis Street in Houston. In addition to Friday’s reception, the House of Courvoisier played host to the Vibe Magazine and VCares event and the National Black Sports Agents Association reception.

The House of Courvoisier is an exclusive venue for experiencing the finest in entertainment, fashion and art, and was launched at New York Fashion Week in September 2005. Slated to appear during exclusive events across the country, the House of Courvoisier’s next stop is at the 2006 BET Awards in Los Angeles.
